Hannover exhibition center in Germany, welcomed all attendees to the 67th edition of the IAA
Held from September 20 until today, with a wide exhibition of vehicles: from vans to trucks, this event aims to be a great discovery of a wide range of products in the commercial vehicle sector. The IAA is committed to dealing with all branches of industry such as automation and connectivity, electric mobility and new logistics concepts, safety and protection. In addition, thanks to the increase in popularity, the IAA has a large number of exhibitors, specifically, 2,147 over the year 2016, in which the public has been able to find those products that fit with the work they do.
This year's edition has focused all its efforts on digitization as an essential guide for logistics to be safe and efficient. Improving road safety through digitalisation and connectivity is its main driving force to reach an even more ambitious goal: automatic driving. Likewise, attendees who have come to Hannover have been able to experience first-hand all the news of equipment with electric mobility, from heavy trucks (up to 26t) to urban buses. All of them, with the same common goal: the optimal performance of daily tasks, generally, carried out by a distributor.
It is worth mentioning that in this edition of the IAA, Fassi Gru could not be absent. The Italian company has presented its new Fassi Fx-Link system with which the truck-crane information exchange will be bidirectional and will contribute to actions such as starting the truck or adjusting the speed of the engine, are performed with the same control of the crane. Process explained in more detail in our technical information post this month.
With no doubt, we are looking forward to the closing of this edition number 67 of the IAA and thus know all the new offers that, more than 49 countries that come, will present; and we support the digitalization approach that the event has proposed with the main purpose of improving the safety and efficiency of logistics.
