How does Fassi develop its cranes? What are the core points on which a crane is developed to give high performance, be safe and easy to use??
The answer is given in the latest issue of Fassi magazine, Lifting Tomorrow, by Rossano Ceresoli (R&D director) and Emilio Bertazzi (export director) at Fassi Gru. The obvious starting point is the clear objectives set by Fassi: developing a product capable of handling heavy duty cycles, while maintaining high levels of performance and constant efficiency.
To achieve all this you need the following:
For Fassi, the best crane is the result of a compromise between load capacity, effort cycles and weight, to achieve a product that guarantees high efficiency standards.
To do this, Fassi cranes are designed to withstand 200,000 work cycles, paying the utmost attention during the design and prototyping phase, and combined with the enormous amount of data from its extensive experience in manufacturing; the materials used, starting with special steels; and the tests that are carried out on the prototypes. In addition, they incorporate high-level technology, electronics and automation, without forgetting the importance of maintenance, which is planned and carried out continuously.
Attached is the full report and the interview with Mr. Ceresoli and Mr. Bertazzi who respectively explain the processes that allow the development of efficient and high-performance cranes and the important implications that all this has for the market.
