Fassi continues to bet on innovation in terms of security
With the main objective of avoiding the collision of the crane boom with the cab of the truck, Fassi has developed a new function: the CDD (Cabin Collision Detection) system. In this month's technical information article, we explain everything about this new device.
Not surprisingly, Fassi is a pioneer in innovation in the hydraulic crane sector; his innovation and ambition to improve the functionality between crane-truck has led him to develop new technologies that have been most useful and efficient. On this occasion, a new system has been made available to professionals: the Cabin Collision Detection (CCD), offering a further guarantee of safety, operational efficiency and protection for the integrity of the truck.
The new system is a step forward in terms of controlling the movement of the main and secondary booms where there is a risk of invading the “protection zone” surrounding the truck cabin. The system uses position sensors to control the movement of the crane arms, detecting the distance from the truck cabin and automatically blocking them when they come too close. The movement of the column is controlled by rotation sensors, which suspend operations, thus avoiding collisions. This guarantees the safe use of the crane, automatically inhibiting all potentially dangerous movements of the main and secondary arms.
In Transgrúas we are convinced that the CCD system (Cabin Collision Detection) will be a great contribution to the cranes as well as to the user, which will allow him to have greater security thanks to its functionality.
